Smut Marathon 2018: Results round 5

sex toysThere were mixed feelings about this round, and that is totally understandable, as it was not an easy task. Not only did the writers have to use the words of someone else, but they also had to tell the same story from the perspective of an inanimate object. When a good amount of people choose the same story to ‘rewrite’, it can become boring, but what I loved was the absolute creativity of the writers to, despite choosing the same story, craft some totally different stories from that. You’ve done well!

All writers go through to round 6, and that round is the last round in which we work with a classification. As from round 7, which we start with 20 writers, the authors with the lowest combined scores are knocked out.

But for now, let’s look at the results of round!

Public vote

During the voting round I keep track of all the votes, and when I see irregularities or strange patterns, I take action. The action can either be a warning to a writer, the elimination of a vote or the disqualification of a writer. I do give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but will not tolerate any cheating. Please note that the rules clearly say: one vote per person.

That said, let’s get down to the result of the public vote.

In total 59 legitimate votes have been received (you can see the voting in the images below).

The result of the public vote for this round is as follows:

Winner: Toy Story 4 – David Watson
First runner up: Scent Of My Women – Sammi

Knocked out

Technically the fifth round is not a knockout round, but the following writers have chosen to withdraw from the Smut Marathon, all with their own reasons, whether that was that they had no inspiration for this assignment or that family members needed a lot of attention:

  • Beatrix Bottomsby
  • Betty Butch
  • Elliott Henry
  • Lascivious Lucy
  • Stella Kiink

Next assignment

Thank you to everyone who have written for this round and thank you to all the voters who have taken the time to read the entries, to vote and for those who have given feedback.

The writers will be sent the sixth assignment later today and have until midnight CET (Amsterdam time) on 7 July 2018 to have their stories in my inbox.

The next voting round opens on 8 July 2018 and I would love to see a lot of voters then!

  1. Kitt says:

I really enjoyed these entries! So many pieces this round were brilliantly funny. I love how cultural differences are also beginning to show as we get to know the authors better. Keep up the good work. It’s always hard to pick three I liked best.
