Smut Marathon 2018: Results round 8

The assignment for the quarter finals was to write about two strangers stuck in a confined space, and to use dialogue to tell the story. All writers really did a good job, thinking out of the box to make their stories stand out. Like in previous round, this round too I kept a close eye on the results to monitor who was in the danger zone, and was surprised to see the same names popping up from the beginning,. I will give you some insight in that later on in this post.

Let’s first get to the official part of this round.

Public vote

During the voting round I keep track of all the votes, and when I see irregularities or strange patterns, I take action. The action can either be a warning to a writer, the elimination of a vote or the disqualification of a writer. I do give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but will not tolerate any cheating. Please note that the rules clearly say: one vote per person.

That said, let’s get down to the result of the public vote.

In total 55 legitimate votes have been received (you can see the voting in the images below).

The result of the public vote for this round is as follows:

Winner: It’ll cost you – Charlie Powell
First runners up: Say It Out Loud – Exhibit A & Time Off – May More
Second runner up: Going Down – Kitt Wolf
