Smut Marathon 2020: The writers

I can’t believe we are at the beginning of yet another marathon, the third since I brought this to the English community. It’s a lot of work to organize this, and be committed all year (not only for me, but also for the writers and the jury), but I am so addicted to this competition that I just can’t stop doing it. So much so, that I am considering re-starting the Dutch one too! I’m still thinking deep and hard about that one!

That said, it’s time to focus on the Smut Marathon 2020, as in only a couple of days, the writers will receive the first assignment!

Statistics

In 2018 there were 87 writes who entered for the marathon. In 2019 there were 116, of which 90 writers entered for the first time. Now in 2020 we have 120 writers, and 80 of them have never participated in the marathon before. I now have a list of 257 names of writers who have entered the marathon once, twice or three times.

Of the 120 participants for this year, 7 writers have entered for the third time, and 33 writers for the second time. Of the latter, some have entered for the first marathon in 2018, and sat out in 2019.

Don’t you just love statistics!

First assignment

Next week this time, on Sunday 26 January 2020, the writers will receive the first assignment. Just like the two previous marathons, all writers who send in assignments in the first round, will advance to the second. The second round is an elimination round, but let’s first concentrate on the first!

The writers

There are three important elements of the marathon:

  • Jury: The jury members are doing wonderful work, reading and rating every entry, which is not an easy task. I am forever grateful for their hard work, and hope to one day grow the marathon so big that I can pay them for their work!
  • Sponsors: In the past two marathons we had wonderful sponsors, and I am sure for this year I will find great sponsors again. As the marathon progresses, the sponsors will be announced.
  • Writers: This IS the most important element of the Smut Marathon, because without the writers… well, there will be no marathon. So, without further ado, lets announce them!

First you find the list of all writers, in alphabetical order (first name), and below that all writers introduce themselves. Please show them some love by following them on social media and/or their blogs, if there are links to do so.

Abby Williams is a writer of spanking vignettes, short stories, and erotic memoirs. She is the author of The Little Red Schoolhouse spanking blog, which she created in 2007 as a wedding present to her husband and partner in all things, Mr. W. The blog chronicles their loving spanking relationship and dives into fantasies, true stories, and Abby’s observations on this kinky world. A life-long bibliophile. Abby also curates and procures vintage smut along with other vintage books for her Etsy shop, Little Red Bookshop.
Chasing knowledge, life, and love, Aisling Weaver has lived up and down the interior of the Eastern United States. She can read your tarot cards but won’t, will sail any month of the year but so far not on the ocean and hasn’t walked a mile in your shoes but has lived her own life barefoot. She writes by the seat of her pants following the strings of her heart.
Amy Norton is (in no particular order) a sex blogger, adult product reviewer, sexuality journalist, erotica author and kink community organiser. She runs the site Coffee & Kink, and has written for a wide range of companies and publications including Sex Tech Guide, Lovehoney, Temptation Holidays and Kink Academy. She is a monthly columnist at The Big Fling, covering consensual non-monogamy. Amy describes herself as a queer femme, a polyamorous swinger, a submissive and a feminist. She lives in the UK with her primary partner, their two adorable cats, and her frankly ridiculous collection of vibrators.
Annabel is an avid reader who has only started to dip her feet into the world of erotic writing within the past twelve months. She is currently on a journey of discovery with her husband/Dom/Daddy from a long-term vanilla relationship into a sensual lifestyle of kink and erotic expression. Having thoroughly enjoyed participating in various writing memes throughout the year, Annabel is looking forward to further exploring and exercising her creative side in this year’s Smut Marathon.
Aoife Pheaca (meaning “beautiful sins”) believes that all things are a mixture of dark and light. Sexy, messy, confusing, broken, and beautiful are not mutually exclusive. All things human are inspiring, and Aoife’s writing reflects that complicated humanity.
I started writing erotica by ghost writing in May 2017. By may 2018, I had my own pen name I was writing short stories under and by November 2018 I was tired of writing amazing stories that didn’t benefit me at all. So I quit and pursued my own erotica career starting with a sex blog and dropping my pen name. I pursued my career by launching a publishing company in may 2019 so that my books would look a bit more professional.

B

Beatrix_B is the pseudonym for this published writer and illustrator, residing in the Midwestern United States, who specializes in writing short-form fiction that spans the spectrum of sexuality and kink. When she’s not spicing up science-fiction, fantasy, and contemporary erotic fiction with strong female characters who have a penchant for making grown men beg for mercy, she enjoys similar activities in her real life. Next stop, her own version of world domination via her erotic entity, The Pink Seam.
Initially from Germany, from the home of the brothers grim, I’ve been learning to tell stories all my life. I started out reading smut stories by sneaking looks at my dads penthouse magazines and have always had a passion for passion. I think the lead up is just as sexy, if not more sexy, than the sex itself.

These days I’m a ghostwriter and game story designer and started writing smut in 2016 on a less than shoe-string budget. The thing I enjoy in helping other write their vision of a story is the challenge of writing in kinks and genre I would never have picked for myself. It’s taught me a lot about writing and has always been fun.

Bella Spelunked is in love with the English language and how it lubricates the understanding between two people. Or three. Hell, make it a party!
She hails from Climax, GA, and works as a secretary for an understanding boss. She lives with several pussies and one good-looking bitch. There’s always room for a guy, too.
Author of two books available on Amazon: New Beginnings: Robin’s Story; New Beginnings: Jenny’s Story.

An Englishman living in New England, Cal attempts to maintain a sense of the old world in an increasingly fast-paced technosphere. Nature inspires him, humans bewilder him.
He has done a lot of soul-searching over why he chooses to write. Pain? Pleasure? Sanity? Insanity? All of the aforementioned? This will be Cal’s second Smut Marathon.
Calliope is a queer enby Leather slave in a 24/7 power exchange dynamic. They are new to blogging but not writing. They primarily write about power exchange and BDSM, utilizing their life’s experiences in their writing. Erotica is one of Calliope’s favorite genres and they’ve used it to explore their own sexuality and connect with others.
Smut Writer. Erotica Enthusiast. Melophile. Hopeless Wanderluster. Geek.

I’m a stateside city-dwelling Latina with a full-time career that isn’t even vaguely related to sex. I also used to be known for starting dirty stories and never finishing them. But after placing second in the Smut Marathon 2019, I can’t say that anymore! In 2020, I’m entering this competition again so that I can remain intentional and motivated to keep writing. To that end, I’ve also just started my own blog (carolynaluna.com) where I share original filthy fiction, audio erotica, romantic musings, poetry, and personal reflections as I navigate middle-age and all of these wonderful, pesky, raging hormones. My hands may have hesitated a bit when I described myself as a “writer” in my tag line, but I did it anyway. And I put it first, so how’s that for progress? Bring on the smut!

A longtime lover of all things kink, I’m ready to share. I am a DDlg enthusiast who identifies as a middle. I recently participated in the NYCMidnight Short Story Challenge and successfully made it to the final round. My specialty is sci-fi, so who knows what smutty oddities await?
I’m a writer, chef, geek, and content creator. I like to think I do them all pretty well, but remember that there is always to improve on it, as well as myself. My website, Forbidden Writings, is my own little sanctuary where I write about the topics on my mind in regards to sex, kink, smut, and how to write it. I do reviews of sex toys as well as erotic literature, and when the muse lets me, I write some of my own stories too.
I’m Chlo, part time writer girl, full time witch. Erotic horror fiction is my favourite thing. I loved being part of the Smut Marathon last year, but had to drop out due to circumstances beyond my control. But I’m massively looking forward to taking part this year, and sharpening my skills even more, alongside so many other brilliant writers.
I always wanted to be a writer! I would write stories growing up, some fiction, some biographical, but never shared them for fear of being judged. It is interesting that now I am a writer in a genre that by itself is judged and I share the most personal and private things about myself.

Finding my sexuality late in life and writing about it has been one of the highest points thus far. I am learning everyday about myself and what it takes to be a writer. While I am not a formally educated writer or editor I see growth in my writing. Also, while I don’t have everything figured out yet I see growth in myself. Both of these things are equally rewarding to me.

A sweary author of naughty romance, Crystal North is a UK born and raised author, who lives many secret lives. Her friends and family didn’t know that she wrote and published books until her first release day when she announced it on social media.

Crystal loves long bubble baths with good books, the outdoors, travel, unfinished stories, swearing too much and plotting who she would include in her own harem. The list of potential candidates is now so high that she might have to hold auditions. Luckily, she has a very understanding husband that she shares a home with in Devon, with their miracle son and miniature schnauzer fur baby.

D

Hi, I’m Darius Dunotte. This is a penname I use to enter this marathon. I usually write fantasy and horror, but have been experimenting with stories about sex. I want to find out if this a gimmick or something I want to go further in, perhaps combining it with fantasy and horror.

I am a man of forty odd years, married and father of two kids. I am still forced to have a day job as a civil servant, but working hard to make a living off writing, because it is the one thing that I have been doing for nearly 35 years as a hobby. It is the way for me to deal with all the things in my head, being either dragons or naked ladies.

Love to write and I’m trying to finish a novel. But I’m honing my skills on my blog and twitter. I always get the best reaction with my #filthfriday posts and want to push the boundaries with my writing. Some are based on fact whilst others are fantasy. I wonder if you can tell…
Dawn is a lover of romance. She lives nestled in the beautiful San Bernardino mountains with an energetic pug, a nine year old son and an amazing wife! She is a musician a teacher and a published writer.
I am a married woman in a D/s relationship, and I am in my late 30s. I have had a lot of life experiences that deviate from the norm. I am a sexblogger and writer who also occasionally indulges in writing erotica. My writing covers a write range of topics, and my erotica is often focused on BDSM fantasies and fiction with strong characters and a story line that sticks out.
An English gent in my forties, I write erotica to relax and to share with my significant other. So far I’ve never had the courage or motivation to publish anything more widely. Some friends in the scene told me about this competition and it sounded like fun – so here I am!
I’ve written short form erotica now for about 10 years. I mix experience, desires and imagination to create what I hope are moments of mindful dominance. I like to explore the emotions and sensations of the characters, their passions and motivations. I like to craft a scene but leave gaps for the readers imagination to fill. My writing has been fitful at points, with points that life, work or just desire has got in the way. However I always come back to the words. I adore the process that lets my mind roam where I can’t always be, the creative energy and the cathartic escape.
Don Juan Chernobyl is a bisexual, genderqueer person who has been writing professionally for nearly seven years. A multi-genre writer, they revel in the erotic and the sensual, creating deeply human stories of connection.
Drew Stone has worked in the sex industry, sexual activism, and sexual health and education for over 30 years in Scotland, Central and Southern England, and The Netherlands.

Entering last year’s Smut Marathon, for the first time, saw the first leap back into disciplined writing (of any kind) for almost two decades… and Drew might have quite liked it 🙂

Drew is looking forward to the enjoyment of wrapping the little grey cells around the 2020 Smut Marathon assignments now realising that problem solving is sexy.

E

I’m 23 years old. I like to create and let my mind dwell far and beyond.

My boss introduced me to this competition – we work in a sex shop – and he said it would be something fun for me to try. I have to agree with him.
I use to write, back when I was in university, small stories about random ideas that popped up in my head. Never wrote erotica before, maybe because I wouldn’t know who to give it to, to read, or maybe for the fear that my definition of sexy would be judge by someone else. Those fears are far gone now. Growth and improvement have been the words of the last couple years. A lot has changed and keeps on changing.

Now, I can’t wait to dive head first into this new challenge.

E.L Byrne is a polyamorous, sexually liberated traveler who loves life and lives it completely on her own terms. She has always loved to write and most of her writing involves personal stories of love, life and travels.
Eliza David is the contemporary romance author of twelve self-published novels, including the Cougarette series. She was born and raised on the noisy South Side of Chicago, but now lives in quiet Iowa City, one of the renowned Cities of Literature. She also maintains a local literary presence, serving on the Iowa City Public Library’s Board of Trustees, moderating The Scarlet Boudoir romance writing group at The Writers’ Rooms, and serving as an annual headlining author at the Iowa City Book Festival.
I am a newish writer who loves all things fantasy, life writing and, occasionally, smut. Erotic fiction is where I reignited my passion for writing a couple of years ago, and it is something I thoroughly enjoy to both read and write.
Single 46 year old straight UK male, been writing erotica on and off for a few years and think this will be a good way to challenge myself.

Personally experienced in a range of kinks and the gangbang/party scene in the UK, as well as being actively involved in the swinging scene in the past.

I am also currently developing a website dedicated to the UK escort and party scene.

Eva is a woman reclaiming her femininity through sexual expression. Not quite certain she can be called an author, she’d rather be known by the title of Unabashed Slut. She writes poetry about sex and about the divine Goddess. She’s a bedroom philosopher who believes the force that creates and animates the universe is, at its core, fundamentally erotic.

I am Queer, Sex Positive, Kink Loving, Erotica Writing, Cat Owned Blogger from the south coast of the U.K. I am passionate about Kink, Fetish, BDSM and Alternative Relationship Models including all branches of Non-Monogamy.

I write to share my ideas and connect with like-minded people and when that also flows into encouraging others to embrace their desires and seek those things in life that will bring them joy it is an absolute bonus.

I am active daily on social media and I am always keen to make new online friends, so please give me a follow and say hello. You can find me on Twitter and Instagram with the handle _floss_84

Frank Noir is a pornographic author of Scandinavian descent, currently living and working in Berlin, Germany.

His writings have appeared in print and online under various pseudonyms.

The stories of Frank Noir are graphically sexual, daring to embrace the darker side of our carnal urges. Hard, yet sensual tales of submission and guilty pleasures.

Friedrich Kreuz is a middle-aged queer cis man. He works as a pornographer and BDSM sex worker, and was formerly a historian. In his spare time he practises yoga, cooks, gardens and dances to techno.

I enjoyed last years smut marathon. I had never written a story before and found it exciting the way that you expand another persons idea. I have been practising so I think I am better equipped this year. I found the first part of think of a starting point challenging but that’s what writing is all about.

I hope I am successful in my application because reading all the stories as they unfold is extremely exciting.

Helen is a writer and editor who’s worked on everything from erotica to medical journals to children’s books. She’s looking forward to flexing her smut-writing muscles this year, especially since she’s recovering from foot surgery and can’t flex many other muscles right now. This is her second Smut Marathon, coming after a hiatus from her blog.
I’m obsessed with sensory lyricism as I call it. Getting the intuition into that expectant lip biting mode. I’m an activist who takes breaks from shitposting on abusers by hanging out in smut land. I can also be found via @hella_kinetic@nsfw.social.
I did this the last two years, and both times I didn’t make it far. However…I enjoyed the time I was in, and it did allow me to write different things. So, when I heard for it this year, I was tempted to sit this one out…but here I am! Hopefully I get farther this year than last year!
What does one write in a bio that doesn’t make you sound like a compare introducing a TV game show host? I write stuff that just appears in my head which is why there’s some really obscure stuff on my blog. Infrequent writer, sporadic reader and poor commenter.
Hyacinth Jones is a mother, a feminist, a lover of men, words and boobs. She has written about her sex and dating life at A Dissolute Life Means… since December of 2011 and was named the #1 blogger on the Top100 Sex Blogs List in 2015. She writes less these days, but is still around. You can find her on IG at @adissolutelife.

I

Please be gentle with me.
I am a webcam model of four years and a freelance writer. Ever since I discovered porn, I found written erotica infinitely more tantalizing than its visual counterparts, so naturally, it’s become a discreet hobby of mine up until now. I sincerely hope you enjoy the scenes I have prepared for you readers during this marathon.

You did say that this is for writers ‘at all levels of experience’, didn’t you? I have only today had a story shared with the world for the first time (by my new friend Posy Churchgate) and I’m inspired and excited by people responding to it… so here I am!

I have for some time written out my fantasies, as a way of extending and deepening them and, well, because that was the only place they could come to life. And I’ve realised today that sharing a fantasy is more that just a fantasy; it is a sex act in its own right… and I want more.

Raising three kids is bad for the real-life smut action, but excellent for the imagination. Jade and her husband try to keep things hot in the frosty weather of Western New York, where writing is a perfect winter activity.
I write a sex, kink and relationship blog focusing primarily on my own experiences as a single woman with multiple partners and a fairly kinky past and present.
Jenby is a sex blogger and fetish model who discusses all things kink on her site JenDragon, as well as guesting on Hot Octopuss and Girl on the Net. She lives in Nottinghamshire with her partner, who is slowly getting used to being called Master, and a bearded dragon, who doesn’t readily seem to care what you call it.
By day, Jennie works for a large company doing compliance work, but at night, the animal emerges. She effortlessly slides into her alter-ego and transforms into the creature called Temptress. She’s tall, buxom and knows how to lure the men with her sexy, bedroom eyes and round ass. Temptress is no stranger to the physical pleasure that can be shared between two people and often explores all that life has to offer whether its in the bedroom, at the airport or even in a crowded subway. She will lure you with her body and her stories. and this year, she’s going to win this marathon!
I’m a fairly new writer of erotica and a new writer in general. I enjoy writing romantic erotic short stories that feel real with real people and not perfect people. I started a Patreon site for my writing this year and have been writing commissions. It’s been a wild adventure. Before writing, I have never read any erotica before writing.
My name is J. Lynn. I’ve been blogging for a year now and I run two blog sites. I’m obsessed with books and I have been since childhood. This past year has helped me gain more confidence in my writing. On my primary blog I share stories of my adventures and some of my short fiction. On my second blog I write reviews of erotic literature and adult products. My goal is to enhance the details in my writing, as well as promoting other blogger’s work. I look forward to improving my writing skills and creating more smutty stories.
Johnny has played in the erotic sandbox for more than 30 years, having served as a sex blogger, erotica reviewer, and podcaster about erotic art and comics. He is an active kinkster in the Midwest US, very happily married in a polyamorous relationship. He is an amateur writer, hoping to capitalize on his English degree in spite of his professional role as a corporate accountant.
Jordan Monroe is delighted to use her English degrees. Her stories are featured in “Best Women’s Erotica of the Year, Volume 2,” “The Big Book of Submission, Volume 2”, and the third and fourth volumes of “Blood in the Rain.” She lives outside of Washington, D.C.
Juliet Adelaide has a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities and Culture from Arizona State University. She started dating her husband at the young age of 17. They are a devoted couple who only recently opened their marriage to new sexual experiences. Juliet’s began writing about her new hotwife lifestyle from the get go and takes you through all of the most personal moments of her adventures.
J. V. Speyer has lived in upstate New York and rural Catalonia before settling in the greater Boston area. She has worked in archaeology, security, accountancy, finance, and non-profit management. She currently lives just south of Boston in a house old enough to remember when her town was a tavern community with a farming problem. (No, really. John Adams complained about it. A lot.)

When not writing, J. V. enjoys watching baseball and seeking out all of New England’s creepiest spots. Her Spawn has turned her into a hockey enthusiast. She can be bribed with gin, tequila, and cats.

K

I’ve been writing most of my life, mostly with a sci-fi/fantasy flavor, but I started writing smut a few years ago, and enjoy it thoroughly. I entered the Smut Marathon last year, and enjoyed the feedback I received. My goal, as always, is to stretch my skills, learn from the judges and my fellow contestants, and have some fun with my writing.
KC Clarke is a new author working on her debut novel, Little Black Dress, due out early 2020. Her short stories have appeared in several anthologies, including Zimbell House’s “Children of Zeus,” and Black Hare Press’s “Apocalypse.”

When she isn’t writing, she spends her days with her husband, two girls, and two rescue fur babies watching movies and playing the piano.

She loves to write romance and erotica, but her true love is fantasy, stemming from her first loves, JRR Tolkien and Neil Gaiman.

Writer. Lover of words that arouse your soul, excite your spirit, free your mind. Founder of the Erotic Connection: connecting writers with readers one orgasm at a time.
If you had asked me two years ago whether I could imagine myself as a sex blogger I would probably have laughed at such an incredulous prospect. Yet here I am.

My blog, My Controlled Ascent, is now 18 months old. It has become a valued space where I can explore and express a number of facets of my life; as a submissive wife in my D/s marriage, as a survivor of childhood complex trauma on my journey to acceptance and healing and as a kinkster, masochist, exhibitionist, artist, designer and lover of all things smutty.

Creativity and curiosity are at the heart of my blog. I try to reflect deeply, communicate honestly and share my thoughts and experiences both past and present. This year I have continued to push myself to develop my photography and erotic fiction, finding a particular passion for erotic fantasy horror.

I look forward to the supported opportunity to develop my writing skills further and welcome the challenges that Smut Marathon will no doubt provide me. I’ve done much heart work and hard work over the last two years, both online and off, to challenge my inner critic and hold with compassion the voice that tells me I can’t. So, in the continued spirit of creativity, curiosity and growth I’m nudging myself forward, beyond my comfort zone, holding firmly onto the belief that I can.

Kristine is an English teacher by day, and a romance and erotica author when the sun goes down. Her first erotic romance novel comes out January 15, 2020 with Cobblestone Press while many of her erotic short stories can be found on Bellesa. She lives, writes, and teaches in Northern Arizona.
Having always loved writing, I started with poems, like so many, and have an imagination that is constantly wanting to break free in so many ways.

When I found that there was a space in the “blogosphere” for me and my own blog I jumped on the chance to write more and get to know those in the community. I have learned so much and continue to do so.

Creative juices flow through me in many different avenues, with writing being at the top of my list right now. So, I write when I can and hope that what is a part-time fun and needed outlet can become a full-time enjoyment and carrier.

L

I’m a fanfic/erotica writer who specializes in dark kinks and frequently writes stuff in the sci-fi and horror genres. Past works of mine have included such varied scenarios as monster/human romance, secret government experiments, medieval torture devices, and many other things that you don’t see every day. I’m hoping that the Smut Marathon gives me the opportunity to introduce the audience to some kinks they didn’t know they were into before!
Lenore is a silly, saucy British logolept whose wanderings have taken her near and far, even when she is sitting perfectly still. Primarily a writer of fiction, she is happy to dabble in whatever genre shows up, though smut tends to be the most fun, and believes that every story is true if properly told.
Once upon a time, not so very long ago, writing was my life. Especially erotic writing. I entered the Dutch Smut marathons for 3 years, and actually won one!

I was published in several Dutch magazines and wrote a few books, packed with erotic short stories. My blog was refreshed every week and I was very active for the Dutch erotic writers community. In 2018 Rebel asked me to be judge of the English Smut and I loved it! (you can read the profile here http://smut.rebelsnotes.com/2018/01/jury-liza-daen/). Erotic writing was my beacon of sanity in a chaotic world.

Past tense.
Because then life came along and swept me off my feet. Being a mom of three beautiful teenagers, a full time high profile job and having a LAT with the love of my life: these things I could just about handle. A storm of events broke loose in the past two years however, mostly caused by the passing of a very beloved person and the turbulence of my youngest having special needs. It has only been recently I found some sort of inner space where I picked up writing again.

Being a Dutchie, I very much realise I will not be able to compete with English Native speakers. Writing in another language then your mother tongue is tedious and sometimes frustrating. Still, having competed before (in Dutch) I know how much you learn from participating in the smut marathon. How it pushes you beyond your limits, how it inspires and how much joy and pleasure it gives. For certain, it will challenge me to write, rewrite, think out of my little boxed world, edit, reread, rewrite and just….write. We’ll see how far I will get! I am very much looking forward to this adventure, no matter how long or short it will be, it will most definitely stimulate me.

If you want to read some of my previous works: I have some English stories on my website.

Liz BlackX is an erotic fiction author who specialises in BDSM-stories, but she can write anything from vanilla to kinky. Next to writing fiction, she runs a blog and writes sex toy reviews.

When Liz isn’t writing, you can find her going for long walks with her husband, or at home playing with her four beloved cats.

After closing down my last sex blog several years ago, which was a mixture of poetry, short stories and sex toy reviews with a difference, I’m enjoying being back in the world of sex writing – with some encouragement from Master. I love writing, letting those naughty thoughts be turned into words with the gentle tapping of fingertips caressing each key!
I have only ever written for my own pleasure, so this will be my first foray into writing for the public which is both exciting and terrifying.

Writing Smut has always intrigued me and I’m interested to see if I can keep each story fresh and interesting if I am to progress past round one.

As the lady once said: mad, bad, and dangerous to know. Ran last year’s Marathon, and ran out of time before I ran out of words, so trying it again. Writing on and off since last century, vast majority Am, a smidge Pro.

Hobbies: Dream disturbing, sheet wrinkling, indeterminate thumping, occasional shiver inducing.

I am pretty new and amateur to erotic writing (or any writing) and I want to practice putting the sexual and sensual ideas floating around in my head down onto a page in fun and imaginative ways. I’m looking forward to the focus involved in making my own entries and the chance to improve my writing through reading other entries. It’s exciting that there is this Marathon and I wish everyone involved a lot of luck and inspiration.
Sex blogger and amateur erotica writer.
Sex blogger with a tongue-in-cheek style and a love of kinky smut. On my website, I write erotic short stories, participate in memes (though not always as often as I’d like to), review sex toys and chat about my random musings. My fantasies are varied and I like to draw on them for writing inspiration!
I have been a writer for many years now and I believe it is always a good practice to enter and to have your work not only to be critiqued but to meet fellow authors and new readers. We make a small world seem large when creating our work and it is a joy and a pleasure to share it with others.

M

A recent Masters graduate and a survivor of a lengthy catering career, Madame Gingembre started writing erotica when travelling away with work for months at a time.

Writing helped lose a few hours and a wonderful release from the monotonous long days. Taken away on fantasy adventures with lots of naughtiness and incredible new people!

Part of my new year’s resolution was to be a more productive writer in 2020, and what better way to contribute to this goal than by enlisting in the smut marathon? In such a strong competitive field and being a non-native English speaker, my chances for a prolonged participation are slim, but the fun and the challenge is what counts. I competed in the Dutch equivalent of the smut marathon a couple of times and was lucky enough to win in 2017. The content of my website is mainly in Dutch but there is a ‘stories in English’ category as well. Godspeed to all you fellow participants, give it the best you’ve got and above all: enjoy.
Marsha Adams doesn’t exist; she was invented so I could write about myself without my mother knowing. I usually write about flawed people and their kinky fuckery: a mix of memoir, fantasy, unnecessary religious allegory and autopsychotherapy. I often focus on the experiences of autistic, submissive women who have a worrying tendency to push their limits, but that’s probably a coincidence.
Self-misidentify as a dominant/master. Always busy having my hands (and other body parts) full with keeping DeviantSuccubus afloat. Write erotic shorts once in a blue moon. Especially when something else is also blue. Unabashedly hold multiple self-contradictory beliefs. Have more stamina than common sense. Definitely a dirty old man.
A fortymumbles something who has written some short story erotic fiction in the past. He identifies as bisexual, polyamorous, kinky, and dominant with a wife and partner, calling home somewhere in Ontario, Canada and West Michigan. He’s a devourer of Sci-Fi, fantasy, and the occasional romance novel.
I’m Mel and I don’t have a blog. Yet. Ever? Who knows?

I was inspired by all the fabulous Eroticon talks and wonderful people, and I want to try to write for someone other than myself. And as there’s one spot left, it’s now or never – or at least another 12 months!

Pronouns: She/her
State of mind: Thrilled/terrified

Misty is a 30-something-year-old wife and mom, who’s always had a thing for erotic romance. She’s a sucker for a good kiss and a slow burn. Misty enjoys creating characters and bringing them to life by putting them in sexy situations.
I’m a 24-year old lesbian writer who identifies as a slave. I run a kinky non-fiction blog but write fiction elsewhere. I haven’t written erotica for a long time but would like to try it out again as it seems like a lot of fun.
I am fairly new to the writing scene but not new to erotica. Often times a million lustful and naughty ideas enter my mind but picking one to tie up and play with is difficult. I am hoping that by participating in this competition it will push me in the direction i want to go as a writer.
Morris was not born there, but moved to Texas as quickly as possible. Though he has lived in a few other states as well as South Korea, The Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, he loves his home state. He has engineering degrees and works with computers all day long, but dreams of writing and sailing. His pursuit of the former has yet to result in publication, and his pursuit of the latter has yet to result in the sinking of boats. On any given day, you can find him suffering his way through traffic in Houston, listening to the odd podcast and music from the eighties.
Mr Ruby is an aspiring writer who has set up a blog and is yet to publish anything on it….
As a young person, my love for writing smut took me into many fun, and interesting, situations allowing me to be myself, show others who I am, how I think, and occasionally let my feelings come out as an open book.

In my “old” age (your mileage may vary) I still love to write. After spending 25 years as a programmer that believes that good code reads like a good book, I find myself needing this new hobby of trying to author actual books, or at least some fun and interesting blog posts. I find that I write for myself, and I have found a few people that at least like it enough to keep me coming back to it.

I promise my entries will be written for my enjoyment, and anyone that likes them, well, hit up my DMs 😉

I’m a sales and marketing professional in a small industry. No one is aware of my other self who likes to look on the Smut Side of Life *whistles a familiar Monty Python tune*

What I will write about: Anything that comes to mind – hot topic of the day, the dick pic I never asked for but secretly saved, or the wet dream from last night. They say write about what you know – though there is something said to having to spend some time researching a subject.

Personal Pleasures: Canadian and true to my outdoorsy-self, prefers romps in the woods, fields, mountains, beaches, looked on by the occasional wildlife, always worrying about getting caught by a bird-watchers lens. The thrill of trying not to get caught.

I am a health and science writer veering out on a smuttier path.

O

A writer of short pieces for a great many years, mostly promos. I’ve also written a number of screenplays. And 2019 saw me finish my first novel. Throughout, erotica has been a passion for many years, back to the early days of the Net. I wish to push my writing limits.

Parker lives in Ohio with her husband, two rowdy sons and three sassy cats. Parker is the author of Shades of Darkness and the Spellbound anthology.
If you passed me on the street, you’d think I was a nice, kind looking woman who dresses smartly. If you know me, you know I work with children, charities and the church.

If only you could see what goes on in my head. Or what I’m wearing *under* the smart clothes, or what I like to do (and stick inside me) when I go home and turn out the lights. Keeping separate the two sides of my self is a challenge I relish, usually by writing. Welcome to inside my head!

Patricia Ray is the pseudonym of a Dutch-French screenwriter. Being a writer satisfies her more than anything else. Well, almost… To Patricia writing erotica is a lot of fun. But she does aim her stories to be more than that. Erotica is as much about true characters as it is about sizzling sex. Patricia self-published her first erotic romance stories in 2019 and continues to do so. A new original short story will be published on Bellesa.co early 2020.
By day I write technical papers about engineering, but secretly I like to wind down from those dry articles with sexy, fun and experimental stories. My aim is to produce writing that tickles your funny bone and your clit. Writing that stimulates your mind and your fantasy. Writing that makes you laugh, makes you think and makes you horny, one after the other or all at the same time.
Paralyzed former war reporter, reservist soldier and general writer, trying to push himself out of his comfort zone in both the real and written worlds. Flawed, kinky, sometimes just needs to fuck and be fucked senseless. Quadriplegic warrior in a leather jacket seeking Princess, but wondering if not quite the marriage material he’d sometimes like to be…
A glutton for sexy punishment, PH is returning for another round of smutty competition in hopes of finding sunnier fortunes. When not writing, they enjoy getting their fingers sticky baking, doodling, and diddling, not necessarily in that order.

Raven is one half of the dynamic duo at D/scovering Kink. He and his wife Annabel write erotica, blog and document their transition from a long term vanilla marriage into a full time D/s relationship. The blog has gone from strength to strength over the past twelve months and in November was named as one of the Kinkly Top 100 Sex Blogs.

Raven entered the 2019 Smut Marathon as a way of dipping a toe back into creative writing and was extremely thankful to have made it all the way to the sixth round before bowing out. Raven hopes to be able to go at least one better next time and is looking forward to seeing what new challenges are presented in 2020.

Roan Marshall is a work at home freelancer who wrote obsessively for years until life got in the way. When not working she spends her time hanging out on Twitter with her little/sub sisters. This years Smut Marathon is her entry back to the writing world.
Rose has written erotica for herself since she was a teenager. When she got married she wrote for her husband. She is now ready to dabble in short stories or perhaps a novel one day.

I’m a twenty one year old mom who lives in a very small town in West Virginia. I’ve loved reading and writing since I was a child. I always hope to inspire young adults and children to strive for what they want in life. I have chosen to try my best to make a living out of something I’ve always loved in order to show my daughter, even when starting from nothing we can achieve anything we want.
I have not written anything of note since college – other than dry documents for work. However the itch to really write has been bothering me for a while… it has taken the Smut Marathon to stir me to action. I stumbled upon the site by accident and have decided to jump in.

Google tells me that a sensualist is a person devoted to physical, especially sexual, pleasure. I would like to think of erotic storytellers as sensualisers… the people who can provide such pleasure through their words.

Aspiring writer of erotica. Lover of sushi. Blogger of dildos.
I am 40 something years old, married and mother to two now grown up men. MrH and I have together since we met at college in 1995 and we got married in 1999. We have been Dominant & submissive since the 26th of June 2017. I started my blog, Sweetgirls Journal, in November of that year as a way to process and share my experiences with others, and I am so proud that this year [2019] I made it onto both the Kinkly top 100 Sex Bloggers list and the Molly Moores Top 100 Sex Bloggers List which is sponsored by Chatterbate.

I have a passion for literature and writing, which I love to share with others. I remember writing my first story aged 9 which was entered into a Children’s writing competition. I can’t for the life of me remember if it won, but the Adventures of Anistoe the Imaginary Dinosaur was a lot of fun to write.

In 2003 when my father died, I wrote a poem expressing my grief, which my Aunt asked me to read out at his funeral. I have no idea how I managed to do it, but I did. My blog has rekindled my love of writing and I have found and read some amazing blogs, by fantastic people too. In addition to writing on my blog, I also post images to 2 photography memes and as a result of this I have improved my body confidence.

I have written a couple of pieces for other sites, and I came up with the pen name S G Bound as it sounds more professional, and has 2 possible meanings, my love of being tied and the binding on a book.

Lover of coffee, spanking, and all things geeky. Submissive, wife, and mother to many children- seriously just so many children. I have no favorite book, movie, or song as I could sooner choose a favorite star in the heavens. The most important thing to know about me though is that I play a purple bass named Eliza. It matches my hair.
While usually more at home at a bar or a library, Sienna has developed a fondness for the pursuits of the flesh and seeks to expand both her knowledge and repertoire through this competition.
My name is slave gefjon and I have been writing for as long as I can remember. Prose, poetry, and fiction are mainly what I have worked with. I do not have a lot of experience writing smut/erotic fiction, but it’s something that I want to get better at.

Important, personal things to know about me are as follows:
1. I am a slave in a 24/7 TPE M/s relationship. It is so incredibly fulfilling to me in so many ways.
2. I am polyamorous. I have three wonderful partners who I adore in every possible way.
3. I have a varied past and a wild imagination. I believe this helps when creating scenarios and situations which others find…fun, to say the least.

I am excited to challenge myself!

A private person who’s happiest in the mountains, Sorcha enjoys telling stories about finding new love in strange and wonderful places.
I don’t write much (or at all really) any more but still want to push myself and try. I am looking forward to tackling the assignments and seeing all the different takes the writers have.
Stephanie lives in Tennessee, where she works nights in a tire factory and plots fiction by day. She’s published in Romantic Suspense and Horror and has been enjoying a love affair with short fiction in 2019. Current project: an apocalyptic love story.
I’m a 52-year old, Dutch, rebellious girl in the middle of a midlife crisis. During the day I work in the Human Resources Department of a college. In my spare time, I write very short stories on Twitter. Several are published in the #vss365 and #StoryConver anthologies. My passion is writing a series of four crime novels. I love writing out of my comfort zone. I’ve just entered a Cambridge English Advanced course to improve my vocabulary and grammar. I like reading and watching crime series. I’m a chocoholic and have a slight addiction to playing Candy Crush and SongPop.
Hello! This will be my third time in the Smut Marathon. I have always enjoyed the challenges that smut marathon offers, as well as the inspiration it sparks.

I have been blogging off and on for over 11 years. Along with writing, I enjoy reading, video games, and cooking.

Pseudonym?
Whaaaaaat?I’m a frustrated (mostly closeted) bi looking for an outlet.

Will you be my outlet?
Taz Anderson is a budding writer from Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, in the UK. A lover of good romance, and all things steamy, she has worked on private commission pieces in the past, with great success, and has finally begun to turn her hand towards publishing.
Her hobbies include reading steamy novels, watching various romance Anime and walking her dogs with her husband.
I started writing smut as a way to attract people to my blog. My blog started out as a sex confession website of sorts but now over half of my content is erotica. I have found that I enjoy the writing as much as I enjoy maintaining my blog. I’m looking to expand my writing to more diverse formats and perspectives while still focusing on sex and erotica. My long term goal is to develop my writing portfolio so that I can eventually write full time.
A coffee-addicted, wine-loving, sleep-deprived pervert with a predilection for proper grammar and endless intensity. He’s been writing smut for as long as he knew that “smut writing” was a thing, and has been into the kinky stuff ever since his first sexual experiences. He truly admires the female form.
As a child, the worlds of Gene Roddenberry were the ultimate in escapism. After climbing the corporate ladder at Regula I Gentleman’s Club from basic cocktail waitress to Executive Stripper, Ms. McFadden needed a name to pay homage to her childhood fantasies. This one’s for you, Geney baby. *kiss*
I’ve made a living from my creativity, but it really only stretches to the covers of books and not those pesky words between the covers. But last year was fun so I thought I’d give it another bash this year…
I’m a contributor to the Whispers Entice and Neverlasting poetry anthologies, amongst others, and looking to continue writing until the day I die.

Have always loved the written word. Trained in cutting trees, currently escorting and often unwind by writing erotica and rhymes!
New to this. I spend way too much time daydreaming at my desk, so I thought I might as well try writing.

I’m your average office worker plagued with wanderlust. Migrant. Daydreamer. Learning to navigate life. Discovering that I now think in English, despite the fact that it’s not my mother tongue, nor is it my other tongue (read: colonized tongue). Smut Marathon looks like a fun way to explore this language that I’m making mine. She/her.

Wayne Hills is the alter ego of Miguel A. Rueda. Miguel is one of 10 children including an adopted brother, two step-siblings and one half-sister. His childhood is chock-full of fascinating accounts of, sometimes extraordinary, stories; which can account for his truly outrageous imagination.

In his spare time, he enjoys: motorcycling, rescuing dogs from high-kill shelters, loving his wife, daughter, two step-sons, four grand-boys, and all things nerdy.
To sum up his outlook on life, “Biker-geek,” would be appropriate.

He has published several short stories under both his given and pen-names.

Zapatica is a writer, former dancer, wino, and coffee enthusiast based out of Hoboken. She has written about health and culture for Brain Mill Press and Bustle. Currently, she is working on a flash erotica collection and a debut novel of literary fiction. When not writing, Zapatica indulges her beloved cat, Milo.
Zebra Rose is the sort of nerdy smart-arse that no-one wants to encounter on a rival pub quiz team, but otherwise I’m mostly harmless. Aside from collecting arcane and random snippets of knowledge, I spend my leisure time contemplating delightful smut, writing about said smut, embroidering smutty scenes on bits of material, and occasionally fitting the necessities of adulting in between the gaps in the smut.

I’ve been blogging since 2017, and my life’s ambition is to write a best-selling dystopian sci-fi novel – which will, of course, contain plenty of smut.
