Smut Marathon 2018: Voting Round #6

Twenty-five writers started writing when they received the sixth assignment, and twenty-five writers have sent in a story for this round. You cannot imagine just how happy that makes me! And it makes me even happier to tell you that these writers have all been SO creative with the assignment! The assignment The assignment for round 6 is: “fortune cookie” The story had to be a maximum of 650 words. What should you do now? Read all entries – you have a week to do so – and vote for the three stories you like best. You have to vote for three – no less, no more. Smut Marathon 2018: Results round 5

There were mixed feelings about this round, and that is totally understandable, as it was not an easy task. Not only did the writers have to use the words of someone else, but they also had to tell the same story from the perspective of an inanimate object. When a good amount of people choose the same story to ‘rewrite’, it can become boring, but what I loved was the absolute creativity of the writers to, despite choosing the same story, craft some totally different stories from that. You’ve done well! All writers go through to round 6, and that round is the last round in which we work with a classification. As from round 7, which we start with

Smut Marathon 2018: Voting Round #5

We had thirty writers at the start of this writing round, but during this round, five writers have decided to withdraw from the Smut Marathon. Each writer has his/her own reason to either continue or stop with the marathon. Sometimes the marathon is not what they had expected it to be, which is something that saddens me at times, but I know that no matter how I do this and what the rules are, I cannot please everyone, even though that is actually my nature. Other times life just takes over. Family members get ill and need attention, and those attention is always more important than continuing with the marathon. Other times, the prompt just doesn’t work for someone or

Smut Marathon 2018: Results round 4

The stories for this round were hot… hot enough for each and everyone of them to be used as fuel for any masturbation session. I totally picture this in my mind, voters having their phones in one hand, reading the entries while wanking with the other. Okay, so you have that image in mind now too? Good! Of course there is a bit of a ‘black border’ to this round, as four writers will be knocked out and are not allowed to go through to round 5. That doesn’t mean they have done bad in this round. As you know, the writers accumulate points from round 1 through to round 6, which means that if they had some good rounds,

Smut Marathon 2018: Voting Round #4

The 39 remaining writers of the Smut Marathon 2018 had three weeks to come up with something hot for you, the readers, the voters. They have written, deleted, written again, changed words, let their stories rest and some even started all over again. A lot of hard work has gone into the stories you will read below. Thank you to the authors who have sent in their assignments! The assignment The assignment for round 4 was: Write a hot, erotic masturbation scene where your character uses a sex toy. One character. One sex toy. No brand names. I want sizzling hot stories; stories that will make the readers want to wank!!! Your masturbation scene is a maximum of 300 words.

Smut Marathon 2018: Results round 3

When I look back on the past week, in hindsight I think I should have put a trigger warning on the voting round, as there definitely were stories that could have and have triggered people when they recognized themselves in it. One story in particular made me think of my husband and me, and how protective I sometimes feel of him when I see how other people look at him. It’s not like he needs me to protect him, because he can definitely fend for himself, but it’s just this thing in me that wants people to see him for who he is, and not only see his disability. I believe we all have things that can trigger us, but

Smut Marathon 2018: Voting Round #3

It has been three weeks since the results of the third voting round had been published and we had announced which 41 writers went through to the third round. In the last three weeks the writers had worked on the third assignment and today, finally we can present you with their work. The assignment The assignment for round 3 was: Write an erotic character sketch of an ‘imperfect’ character ‘imperfect’ is written between quotation marks because you are to decide in which way your character is ‘imperfect’. What I don’t want is ‘perfect’ characters who has everything going for them. There were more questions after the assignment was sent and I told the writers that they had to think about

Smut Marathon 2018: Results round 2

After a week of nail-biting and intense nerves, it is time to reveal not only the results of the second round, but also the 40 writers who will go through to the third round. Yes, there are 22 writers who will sadly have to leave the marathon, as has been described in the rules. I know it’s a lot, but it is needed in order for the stories to get longer. I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every entry that has been written for the marathon assignments and was sad when I saw which writers have to leave the race. I would have loved to have everyone in the race until the end, but if we have 75 writers who

Smut Marathon 2018: Voting Round #2

The two weeks that the authors had to work on the second assignment has flown by. Only two weeks ago we announced the results of the first voting round, and here we are, ready for the second! And ready you should be, because the authors have written some lovely stories – hot ones! The assignment The first assignment wasn’t easy, but (in my own opinion) the second was a bit easier. Only a bit though… Where we had 75 writers in the first round, only 62 remains. Congratulations to all the authors who have sent in their assignments! You rock! This was the second assignment: Write a flash fiction story using one of the entries from the first round. Specific

Smut Marathon 2018: Results round 1

The renewed Smut Marathon is a learning curve for everyone involved – for the writers, the jury, the public and for me. I might be the one with the most experience, seeing that I have run this for the Dutch public too, but I know it takes some getting used to for the writers to stick to a theme and so little words, for the jury to read so many entries and judge them and of course for the public too. It takes getting used to that you can vote only once. More about that later. For now I want to address the writers. By now you have probably read the feedback on your entry and if you have read
